Professor Zheng Baowei, the director of Research Center of Journalism and Social Development (RUC) was invited to attend the summing-up meeting of the deployment of reviewing work for periodicals in 2011 held by Ministry of Environmental Protection on February 28. The meeting was chaired by Tao Detian, the director of Publicity and Education Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. During the meeting, the deployment of reviewing work for periodicals in 2011 had been summarized and the reviewing work for 2012 had been arranged.

In his speech, Professor Zheng Baowei mentioned that the environmental protection periodicals should continue to work hard in positioning readers, planning topics and columns and adhering to academic norms, thus to further improve the quality of the periodicals. At the same time, he also expressed his wish in environmental protection periodicals’ extending to the service for the society and the public, in order to increase their environmental protection awareness and promote Green Life.

At the meeting, Professor Zheng Baowei was reappointmented by Ministry of Environmental Protection as the expert for the deployment of reviewing work for periodicals in the year of 2012.
